This is an adaptation I made from Sergei Prokofiev’s classic story.
As a child, I was in love with the music and the characters, but every time I listened to it, the end always broke my heart. I couldn’t understand why they had to kill the wolf, or lock him up in the zoo… For me, he was just a hungry, wild animal who needed food.
So a few years ago, I decided to give this classic a twist and create an story where animals are understood and treated with respect.
This book was first published in English by Five Mile Press, in Spanish (and all the languages of the Spanish territory) by Loqueleo, and in French by Les Éditions de L’imprévu.
I had the pleasure to be invited to participate with the fantastic UMO Jazz Orchestra, from Finland!! They have a wonderful way to introduce children to classical music, with a fun contemporary twist! A dream come true, to see my artwork surrounded by Prokofiev’s music. Just the way it was meant to be.
